Game Zone 2019

For the third year in a row students of the animation class had the opportunity to present their works at Game Zone of the International Festival of Animated Film Stuttgart. Once again they were lucky to have a wide international audience to experience their games and installations.

Moreover, for the first time game students have also been part of the exhibition. The games class is working and developing at Kunsthochschule Kassel with professor Auriea Harvey since one year now.

Goodbye Thomas Meyer-Hermann!

Soon it’s time to say goodbye!

On 29th of May, Thomas Meyer-Hermann, professor of animation since 2000, will have his final lecture at Kunsthochschule Kassel. He will tell us about his decades of experience in the area of animation production, his love for animated pictures and the last secrets about the Tom’s slice of bread with jam and honey.

We are very excited and say thank you for all the years of support and inspiration!

Abschied von Thomas Meyer-Hermann

Bald müssen wir Lebewohl sagen!

Am 29.5.2019 wird Thomas Meyer-Hermann, der seit dem Jahr 2000 die Professur für Trickfilm an der Kunsthochschule Kassel innehat, seine Abschiedsvorlesung halten.

Dort wird er erzählen von seiner jahrzehntelangen Erfahrung in der Trickfilmproduktion, der Liebe zur Animation, den Schritten zur Studiogründung und uns nochmal über das Geheimnis des halben Erdbeermarmeladebrot mit Honig aufklären.

Wir freuen und bedanken uns für all die Jahre der Unterstützung und Inspiration!

Pizza Party on tour!

Say cheese!
Our juicy pineapple slices Áron Farkas, Stefan Kreller and Max Holicki have every reason to grin. Their film Pizza Party will smear sticky trails through the festivals this summer.
What began as a music video project for the band Sick Teeth will now be shown at: ANIMEX, BMVA, KAFF, ZlÍN, ArtAllNight, OAF & SUPERTOON.

It would be slice to meet you there!

Pizza Party on tour!

Say cheese! Unsere saftigen Ananasscheibchen Áron Farkas, Stefan Kreller und Max Holicki haben allen Grund zum Grinsen. Ihr Film Pizza Party ist seit März raus aus der Schachtel und schmiert sich seitdem klebrig durch die Festivallandschaft. Was als Musikvideoprojekt für die Band Sick Teeth begann, wird diesen Sommer unter anderem hier zu sehen sein: ANIMEX, BMVA, KAFF, ZlÍN, OAF, ArtAllNight & SUPERTOON. Game Zone 2019

Auch dieses Jahr war die Animationsklasse wieder auf der Gamezone des Internationalen Trickfilmfestival Stuttgart vertreten. Ihre zahlreichen spannenden Games und Installationen konnten die Studierenden hier einem großen Publikum präsentieren und bekamen viel positives Feedback

Dieses Jahr waren außerdem erstmalig auch Studierende aus der Gamesklasse mit dabei, die seit einem Jahr unter der Professur von Auriea Harvey an der Kunsthochschule Kassel Projekte entwickeln.

TRICKREICH 2019

It’s February again which means that it’s time for Trickreich! As every year the animation class from Kunsthochschule Kassel presents its work of the past year. This time we’re going to discuss elementary questions like: Are scorpion and fish a good match? And what is the pineapple actually doing on the pizza?

Wie jedes Jahr im Februar zeigt die Animationsklasse der Kunsthochschule Kassel ihre Jahresproduktion und stellt die elementaren Fragen des Lebens: Passt der Skorpion zum Fisch? – Lieber ein Osterei oder ein Opferlamm? – Was macht die Ananas auf der Pizza?

Wo? Im BALi Kino im Kulturbahnhof Kassel

EXAMEN award 2018 goes to stopmotion film

For her graduation film ‘Sincerely, Now Air’ Theresa Grysczok was awarded with 3000 euros at the EXAMEN exhibition 2018. Congratulations!

The five minute long stopmotion film is about an extreme situation during a flight:
A passenger dies on an airplane. While a stewardess tries to bring the man back to life, she deals with the requirements of her job and personal limits.

Still aus “Sincerely, Now Air”

In addition, Theresa will stay at Kunsthochschule Kassel for the Meisterschüler program 2019.
